Welcome to Bespoke Orkney Tours, I am Jane Clouston Cook your guide. I trained at UHI in 2016/17 as a Green Badge Tourist Guide accredited by the Scottish Tourist Guide Association (STGA). I offer a 'step-on' guide service to visitors to my homeland of Orkney. I join you as guide in your vehicle or lead you in a walking tour of one of our island towns of Kirkwall or Stromness. I offer insights into these lovely isles from three persepectives. I have visited Orkney for over 35 years as a tourist myself while researching the origins of my Orcadian family, Clouston. I have lived in Orkney for the last 6 years and enjoy the benefits of island community life. I have trained in the practical aspects of being a guide and studied the history, culture and heritage of the islands to offer an insight to my customers. So I am at once a tourist, a resident and a qualified tour guide. I offer a private, bespoke tours utilising my combined knowledge, insight and experience of 40 years as a visitor. Whatever your interests from the Neolithic to the modern day, Orkney has plenty to offer. Our scenery is stunning with wide open skies, and the possibility of seeing the Aurora Borealis in winter months.
